Our Origins

Built by Car People. For Car People.

Custom Auto Tech was established in 2014 in North Providence, Rhode Island, out of a straightforward idea: drivers deserve a shop that treats customization, performance and protection as one connected job — not three separate errands at three different businesses. Today that's 12+ years of experience behind every vehicle we touch.

We specialize in System X certified ceramic coating and Pure PPF paint protection film, backed by Rayno window tint, expert fender rolling, wheel and tire mounting and balancing, lowering springs, coilovers and suspension work, brake upgrades, performance bolt-ons, vinyl wraps and professional detailing.

We're also partnered on-site with Detail Tech & Tint, so customers get detailing and tint alongside our customization and protection work — one shop, one visit. That's still how we work today: every vehicle gets premium materials, careful installation and an eye for detail that comes from genuinely caring about the work.
